Davis-Bacon Act

The House rejected an amendment eliminating the “prevailing wage,” or union wage requirements on military construction projects which adds billions to the project costs. ACU opposes this Davis-Bacon Act requirement, but the amendment was defeated August 1, 2008 by a vote of 143-275.
