Parental Notification S. Con. Res. 70 (Roll Call 71)

By a tie vote of 49-49 the Senate of March 13, 2008 rejected an amendment that would have provided increased funding to the Justice Department to enforce laws requiring parents to be notified in cases of minors seeking abortions while reducing spending on other programs. ACU supports this effort to encourage parental involvement in decisions relating to their children.
