HJ Res 43 (Roll Call 194) Religious Freedom
This resolution disapproves the District of Columbia’s Reproductive Health Non Discrimination law. The new law prohibits employers from discriminating against anyone and provides no religious exemptions despite a finding by the DC Attorney General that the measure “raises serious concerns under the Constitution and under the Religious Freedom Restoration Act of 1993.” ACU supports the free exercise of religion under the Constitution and supported this resolution. The House passed the resolution on April 30, 2015 by a vote of 228-192
